About the program
How does the ALC Program work?
The Libro.fm ALC Program provides influencers with select, complimentary audiobook listening copies each month. The ALC Program does not pay commissions and is intended solely to provide listeners with relevant listening experiences.
Who can apply to the ALC Program?
To qualify for consideration, a creator must:
- Have at least one active, public channel with 2,000+ followers (review platforms—such as StoryGraph and Goodreads—do not qualify) OR an active website with proof of significant traffic
- Align with Libro.fm’s values (learn more)
- Be 18+

Application process
What happens after I submit my application?
Our team manually reviews every application. We’ll be in touch within a few weeks via email to let you know whether your application has been accepted.
Why was I not approved?
We carefully evaluate each request and consider a range of factors, including engagement rate, type of content shared, post frequency, active platforms, follower count, overall presence across platforms, and more. Because we look at a profile holistically, a creator may meet a baseline requirement (ex: number of followers), but still not make it into the program.
Due to a large volume of applications, we’re not able to provide personalized feedback at this time.
How can I improve my chances of being approved?
While we review every application individually, we generally look for creators who have at least one active, public channel with 2,000+ followers (review platforms—such as StoryGraph and Goodreads—do not qualify) OR an active website with proof of significant traffic.
We also look for creators who align with our values, including those who support indie bookshops, read a diverse range of voices, and are excited to spread the word about audiobooks.
While following these guidelines doesn’t guarantee acceptance, nor are a barrier to acceptance, they can help you submit a stronger application when you reapply in the future.
Can I reapply?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to reapply in the future as you hit new milestones with increased followers and/or engagement on your different social media platforms. We’re happy to reevaluate your application at any time.
After you’re approved for ALCs
How many ALCs can I redeem?
As an influencer, you are able to redeem 10 ALCs each month. ALCs reset at the start of each month. To avoid disappointment, please choose your ALCs before 11:59 PM UTC on the last day of each month (find this in your timezone). Redemptions will reset at midnight UTC on the 1st. You have the month to make your picks, and can find the selections in the app.
Why is an ALC marked as a “preorder?”
If an ALC is marked as “preorder,” the audiobook will automatically appear in your library once we have files from the publisher. Please note that ALC preorders count towards your 10 monthly redemptions.
Do I have to post about the audiobooks I read?
In exchange for ALCs, we ask creators to please share the audiobooks you listen to and enjoy with your audience. If you enjoy an audiobook:
- Tag @librofm on social media (@libro.fm on Bluesky), as well as the publishers of each audiobook so your content can be discovered and shared widely. This also helps ensure that we can keep providing you with a great ALC selection.
- Write reviews for your favorite audiobooks on platforms like Storygraph (an Amazon-free Goodreads alternative).
Do you provide resources to help make posting easy?
Yes! Once you’re accepted into the program, you’ll have access to helpful resources, like creative assets and content inspiration, so you have everything you need to start sharing on your social media platforms.
Affiliate program
Is the affiliate program the same as the ALC Program?
The Libro.fm affiliate program is a separate program from the ALC Program.
Our affiliate program allows individuals to make commissions off sales or new memberships started using their custom links—while also supporting indie bookshops.
Who can join?
We encourage creators in our ALC program to also sign up as affiliates. You can apply for our affiliate program here.
What happens when I join the program?
You’ll receive monthly updates and promotional materials on upcoming sales, special commissions, and more! Affiliates also have access to exclusive giveaways and other marketing opportunities. We want to make it as easy as possible for affiliates to spread the word.
