How did you get into bookselling?
My friend was designing this adorable children’s bookstore, and I thought, hmm, I love books! I wonder if they need any help?
What do you love most about being a bookseller?
I love connecting people to the right book at the right time. Something that will be just what they need or something that will stay with them forever. I love how books can shape us, and I love being able to share that with people.
What do you love most about your bookstore?
It’s truly magical. I love hearing children say: I’m going to Narnia! Or Let’s go to the Hobbit Hole! Tangibly introducing them to so many amazing stories is the best.
What are you listening to right now?
On the Come Up, The Everlasting Rose, and A Drop of Hope.
What audiobooks would you recommend or are among your favorites?
Echo, The Guilded Wolves, or Binti are current favorites. Basically any book that has an accent or another layer to it like the musical element in Echo. It just brings the book that much more to life.
Where / When do you listen to audiobooks?
In the car, doing laundry, running, etc.
What is your favorite thing about audiobooks through Libro.fm?
Supporting indie bookstores, of course! I love the app set up: so easy to use. I especially love being able to “shelve” books in different folders.
What do you do when you’re not selling books?
I manage the bookstore I work for, so all the day-to-day tasks that come along with bookstore life. You can also find me reading, day dreaming, and hiking.
