Happy Meet a Bookseller Monday! We’re excited to introduce you to Sarah Ferguson, owner and bookseller at Rapport in Gillette, WY.
How did you get into bookselling?
I’ve always wanted to own my own store, and it became a reality in 2017. I love books, art and design, so it made sense to have all three under one roof.
What do you love most about being a bookseller?
Telling people about different books that I am excited about and introducing them to something new. When I pair someone with a book, that is magic!
What do you love most about your bookstore?
It is not your typical bookstore. We support local artists, we provide design services and we have such a unique selection of books.
What are you listening to right now?
Among the many, I am really loving Save Me the Plums by Ruth Reichl!
What audiobooks would you recommend or are among your favorites?
Love Brené Brown and Jen Sincero–lots of non-fiction–but Neil Gaiman is an incredible narrator too.
Where / When do you listen to audiobooks?
I listen pretty much all the time when I am not at the store.
What is your favorite thing about audiobooks through Libro.fm?
The amount of books, prices are great, and it supports local bookstores!
What do you do when you’re not selling books?
I am an artist and graphic designer so either that or I’m outdoors.
