Looking for a way to support readers, writers, and independent bookshops this holiday season?
We’ve partnered with Authors Against Book Bans, Binc, We Need Diverse Books, Put It in a Book, and The Word: Storytelling Sanctuary to help them reach their year-end goals.
Your donations this December will help support these organizations in creating a thriving and sustainable publishing ecosystem.
Anyone who donates $50+ will receive a gift from us at Libro.fm:
Donate $50+
get one audiobook
Donate $100+
get two audiobooks
Donate $250+
get three audiobooks
Note: No need to send us your receipts, as the participating organizations will be sharing a list of donors with us in the new year. As we are not collecting receipts, the total amount must be made to one organization ($100 split between two organizations, for example, does not qualify you for two audiobooks). Audiobook credits will be emailed out to donors in early January from hello@libro.fm.

We Need Diverse Books
We Need Diverse Books is a 501c3 nonprofit that creates lifelong readers and a more compassionate world through the power of diverse literature. We support diverse creators, publishing workers, and educators and students nationwide; and our programs enact change across the entire reading pipeline, from a writer’s first draft to the classroom full of readers.

Put It in a Book
Put It in a Book (PIIAB), a 501(c)(3), ensures marginalized and underrepresented stories are told and accessible to all. We partner with schools and community organizations through programs like the H.O.S.T. Program, which brings diverse authors and gifted books to Title 1 schools, and Right to Read, which encourages critical thinking by providing banned and challenged books to high school students. Our mission is to transform the power of literature into a tool for intellectual freedom, equitable representation, and community upliftment.

Binc
Binc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to assisting booksellers in need. The Binc Foundation grew out of a wish of bookstore employees to establish a fund to help their colleagues experiencing unexpected financial crises. Binc is dedicated to assisting bookstore and comic store employees across the United States in their greatest time of need.

Authors Against Book Bans
We, a coalition of writers, illustrators, anthology editors and contributors, and other book creators, stand united against the deeply unconstitutional movement to limit the freedom to read. We unequivocally support the availability of diverse voices on our library shelves, in our schools, and in our culture. We pledge to band together against the oppression of literature, to speak when our voices are silenced, to go where our bodies are needed, and to fight as one to ensure this freedom. Together, we will be fearless.

The Word: A Storytelling Sanctuary
The Word, A Storytelling Sanctuary has been supporting writers from the margins since 2016, through impactful programs like the Editor-Writer mentorship, whose mentees have now published 70+ books and include National Book Award and Whiting Awarding winning authors. The Word supports writers, publishing creatives, and booksellers through programs including the [margins.] Literary Conference, #MarginsBookselling events and searchable map, and convention-bending Word Unbound workshops. The Word needs your support to meet this moment when its work is under direct attack and when artists are most needed to share and preserve truth.
These organizations do such inspiring and important work. We are proud to support their efforts, and are grateful for your donations.
