As a Social Purpose Corporation that shares all profits with independent bookshops across the globe, it probably comes as no surprise that we at Libro.fm believe there’s power in supporting our local community.
Whether that’s shopping at your indie, dining at a local restaurant, getting a library card, or volunteering for a grassroots organization, all of these efforts can shape how our community flourishes.
Another great way to get involved and make a difference? Voting. When we vote—at a local, state, and national level—we share our thoughts and demands with those who are in positions of power. Although we may feel like we are just one voice, when coupled with everyone else’s, we can create real, impactful change.
So this year, and for every election season, we encourage you to vote. Just like when you choose to support your indie over Amazon, your vote goes straight back into the community in which you live.
